I’m Wayne Centra, MOTR/L SWC, founder and head Sensei here at Karate For All. Our Youth Karate Program focuses on children ages 5 to 13 years old and is led by myself and Sensei Brandon, MS OTR/L. With our extensive experience as licensed and trained Occupational Therapists, our Youth Program provides unique, occupational therapy-based karate training designed specifically for children’s development.
Social Skills Development Through Martial Arts
Each karate class, we focus on nurturing and developing our students’ social skills through partner exercises, group activities with same-aged peers, and meaningful interactions with our experienced volunteers. Our youth martial arts program creates a supportive community where children build friendships while learning karate.
Personalized Karate Training for Every Child
Our Youth Karate Program welcomes all skill levels and abilities. Our experienced karate instructors will adapt to the individual physical, mental, and social needs of every student, ensuring that each child receives personalized attention in their martial arts journey.
Practical Karate Skills and Self-Defense for Kids
At Karate For All, we train students in practical karate skills and effective self-defense techniques for children. Through our comprehensive karate training, we constantly work to improve gross motor skills while exercising memorization and cognitive development. Our youth martial arts classes build a strong foundation in both physical fitness and mental discipline.
Anti-Bullying Program and Character Development
Unique to Karate For All’s Youth Karate Program, we employ our Anti-Bullying Campaign, which encourages important values specific to our youth. We reinforce the significance of safe technology practices, self-efficacy, confidence, and resilience, which are skills that extend far beyond the karate dojo.
Personalized Attention Every Class
Our 1 student to 1 teacher ratio gives your young martial artist personalized attention every class. We make sure they are refined with personalized feedback, ensuring they master each skill before moving forward and building genuine confidence in their abilities. This sets them up for real success as they progress through our Youth Karate Program and work toward their black belt.

At Karate For All, students are primarily taught Shotokan Karate under the guidance of Sensei Wayne, a 4th degree black belt. Classes also incorporate elements of other martial arts such as jiu jitsu, boxing, and more, giving students a well-rounded training experience.
Occupational therapists are professionals who support others in performing at their highest level in their everyday lives. By incorporating social skills and emotional regulation, Sensei Wayne combines his background in martial arts and occupational therapy to teach his students to be physically and mentally tough and resilient.
