Sensei Wayne MOTR/L SWC

KARATE FOR ALL FOUNDER

Bio
A graduate of Pacific University's Occupational Therapy Program with a Master's in Occupational Therapy. He is a pediatric Occupational Therapist and founder of Karate for All. His experience includes over 35 years of martial arts experience and a 4th-degree black belt. He trained in the art of Shōtōkan Karate and Shitō-Ryū Karate under Fumio Demura, "The Real Mr. Miyagi." Wayne has been instructing students in Martial arts for 30 years, at colleges, schools, and rehabilitation centers. Wayne combines his background in martial arts with his professional discipline of occupational therapy. Wayne was the Winner of the Innovation Award at the Children's Hospital of Orange County, Gala Awards Banquet. Wayne Centra has also been recognized nationally by Newsweek Magazine for the Giving Back Award, as well as honored as one of eight hometown heroes.

Sensei Brandon M.S. OTR/L

Bio
Brandon is a graduate of California State University: Dominguez Hills' Occupational Therapy Program with a Master's in Occupational Therapy, as well as University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. His experience includes over 19 years of martial arts experience and a 3rd degree black belt. He has been involved with Karate For All for the past 13 years and has been teaching for over 10 years.

Sensei Jerry

Group Instructor

Bio
Jerry is currently attending college at Cal State Fullerton and is an excellent second-degree black belt in karate. He has been involved with Karate For All for the past nine years as a former student and assistant instructor. He has over 14 years of martial arts experience and has 7 years of teaching martial arts. He finds joy and fulfillment in working with the kids and families here. In his free time, he enjoys being active and playing basketball.

Michael Kordik

Private & Group Instructor

Bio
A dedicated martial artist, Michael has grown up fully involved with self-defense training his whole life. From taekwondo and self-defense after-school classes in his early years, he officially started karate at white belt in 2013. He then trained karate for 13 years in kenpo and shōtōkan styles and still trains today. As a 1st degree black belt, he has been instructing for almost 3 years. Alongside being an instructor for private lessons and group classes, Michael has also utilized his technical and creative skills in website design, video editing, and graphic design. On his days off, he cherishes his time at church with his friends and family.

Daniel Weinberger

Bio
Assistant instructor Daniel Weinberger has been with Karate For All for about 14 years, and has also been an instructor for the past 4 years. He has his 3rd degree black belt in Shōtōkan karate, and is currently going through his fourth year of college at Cal State Fullerton, hoping to get his BA degree in history.

Stevie Good

Bio
Assistant Instructor Steven Good is a third-degree black belt and has been an active student at Karate For All since 2007, with no plans of stopping anytime soon. He has consistently demonstrated dedication to helping the special needs community through his work with KFA, as well as through other philanthropic work in the Irvine/Tustin area such as AYSO's VIP program and Blue Buoy Swim School's Aqua Achievers.

Aswin Binu

Aswin Binu is a pre-med student currently pursuing a degree in Neurobiology at University of California, Irvine, with aspirations of becoming a physician. His academic interests include medical ethics, neurobiology, and pediatrics, which continue to shape his long-term career goals. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing video games, and astronomy!

Vishavdeep Singh

Vishavdeep Singh is a pre-health student currently pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences at University of California, Irvine, with aspirations of becoming a MD/PhD, either focusing on cardiology, microbiology, or dermatology. His academic interests include behavioral/cognitive desires, hearing and vision, microbiology, genetics, and biochemistry, which continue to shape his long-term career goals. In his free time, he enjoys anime, volleyball, drawing, piano, camping, and hiking.

Stephanie Spidle

Stephanie is a graduate of the University of California, Irvine, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health Sciences. She began volunteering for Karate For All while in her third year of undergrad at UCI, and she now has been a private instructor for KFA since June of 2024. Stephanie is currently in her gap year working at KFA and in an adolescent psychiatric unit before pursuing her aspirations of becoming a physician. She has a passion for the social, emotional, and physical development of children and is driven to meet the individual needs of each child she works with. Outside of work and academics, Stephanie enjoys the gym, rowing, and hiking around the country.

Hello! My name is Anika, and I am one of the private instructors at Karate For All. I began as a volunteer at KFA, where I discovered my passion for helping children grow. With over two years of experience working with kids, I am dedicated to helping students use karate as a tool for physical, social, and emotional development. By taking the time to understand each child, I build meaningful connections and design creative activities that help foster a long-term passion for karate. Every child is unique, and I strive to create a supportive environment where children feel comfortable, confident, and empowered to grow at their own pace.

Guyuan Hu

Hey everyone! My name is Guyuan Hu, and I’m currently a third-year undergraduate student studying Biological Sciences at UC Irvine. I started volunteering at KFA during my first year and have continued ever since, eventually becoming a private instructor. This role has allowed me to build meaningful connections with our students and support their growth both academically and personally. I aspire to become a Physician Assistant and am passionate about helping others through healthcare and education. Outside of academics, I enjoy staying active at the gym, playing guitar, and drawing.

Nicholas Sanchez

Bio
A graduate of the University of California, Irvine, Nick holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology. First a volunteer whilst attending college, he now acts as one of our very own private instructors. He brings multiple years of experience across several different martial arts, possessing a 1st-degree black belt in Goju-ryū Karate with 11 years of experience, a brown belt in Judo with 4 years of experience, on top of 4 years of experience in wrestling. Overall, he utilizes this well-rounded expertise to build confidence within students and to ultimately bring them into their own. Aspiring to work in the medical field, he looks to work in pediatrics and/or dermatology in his future.
