I’m Wayne Centra, MOTR/L SWC, founder and head Sensei here at Karate For All. Our Teen and Young Adult Karate Program specializes in fostering development and leadership for students ages 13 to 20 years old. This program connects students with like-minded peers while using occupational therapy-based techniques tailored to the unique challenges teenagers face.
Build Leadership Skills Through Martial Arts
Our Teen and Young Adult Karate Program strengthens students’ ability to self-advocate while developing confidence to lead and motivate others. Whether you’re dealing with peer pressure or finding your voice, our teen martial arts training provides a supportive environment where you grow as both a person and martial artist. Through our karate classes, teens develop authentic leadership skills that translate into school, friendships, and their communities.
Learn Real Self-Defense Skills
Our Teen and Young Adult Karate classes teach practical self-defense techniques you can use in real life. You’ll gain the confidence and awareness to protect yourself while learning when and how to use these skills responsibly. Self-defense training builds both physical capability and mental toughness, empowering you to face life’s challenges with strength and composure.
Work Toward Your Black Belt
Each Teen and Young Adult Karate class, we refine martial arts skills while working toward earning your black belt. This journey builds genuine confidence and self-esteem as you progress through belt ranks. Our black belt students are encouraged to volunteer with our younger karate classes, creating a powerful mentorship cycle that strengthens our entire martial arts community.
Anti-Bullying Campaign and Real Discipline
Unique to Karate For All’s Teen and Young Adult Karate Program, we employ our Anti-Bullying Campaign addressing challenges facing teens and young adults today. We reinforce self-efficacy, confidence, and standing up for what’s right. Earning your black belt symbolizes dedication, discipline, and genuine commitment. Our program teaches practical conflict resolution and empathy, helping you navigate complex social situations with strength and integrity.
1:1 Karate Instruction
Our 1 student to 1 teacher ratio gives you the individual attention needed to truly transform through karate. We make sure you feel empowered and supported while perfecting your technique and building a martial arts foundation that goes beyond the dojo. This sets you up for real success as you work toward your black belt and become the person you want to be.

At Karate For All, students are primarily taught Shotokan Karate under the guidance of Sensei Wayne, a 4th degree black belt. Classes also incorporate elements of other martial arts such as jiu jitsu, boxing, and more, giving students a well-rounded training experience.
Occupational therapists are professionals who support others in performing at their highest level in their everyday lives. By incorporating social skills and emotional regulation, Sensei Wayne combines his background in martial arts and occupational therapy to teach his students to be physically and mentally tough and resilient.
