Dear Sensei Wayne,

It has been such a thrill to see our 12 year old son, Joshua, be able to jump with both feet for the first time! And to see how his balance and core strength (and self esteem!) have improved in the two short months he has been going to Karate For All. When our son was born 3 months premature with so many immediate and critical medical issues and now ongoing developmental delay, cerebral palsy and epilespsy, we were told by some not to expect that he would be able to walk or talk or just how he would be able to function in everyday life. Well you know, he can hold a very sophisticated conversation with anyone and functions pretty well in everyday life...and after the two corrective surgeries on his legs, he is running, jumping and riding a bike in his own particular way.

We had heard about Karate For All a while ago and decided that after his last leg/foot surgery, that it would be a great time to start! It has been so wonderful to experience with Josh, the joy of his accomplishments and the focus on his abilities. Sensei, you have been an incredible gift to Josh and your staff and volunteers have been so supportive and helpful at each lesson. With karate, Joshua can compete with himself to be the best he can be and not be compared (or compare himself) to others who may be more physically able to do
more. We truly feel that your unique coupling of karate and OT/PT will prove to be vital to Joshua as he grows up, gets stronger and finds his own niche.

Thank you,
Janet and Barry
