To The Parents of Future Karate Students,

When my son turned 9 I enrolled him into Karate For All for several reasons:
1. To gain self confidence
2. Learn to regulate his emotions
3. Physical conditioning
4. Self defense

Nine months later, I can see that my son has made significant progress in all of the above areas. His ability to control his emotions has increased linearly with his new found confidence in his physical abilities.

Sensei Wayne, and his enthusiastic staff, take a holistic approach to teaching Karate which I think has been very beneficial to my son. His Karate is of the old school tempered with empathetic life lessons. They focus on the mind, body and heart of his students to help them become confident, respectful, caring, and self-reliant.

Sensei Wayne is also a licensed Physical Therapist and I believe many of his Instructors and Volunteers are training to become PTs as well. I mention this because if your child has any special challenges, Sensei Wayne and his staff have the special abilities to work effectively with your children as well.

If you are considering sending your child to a martial arts school, I would unhesitatingly recommend Karate For All.

Sincerely,
Dennis A.

This morning as were heading to our Karate class, I had a flashback from three years ago.  I remembered when my youngest son at the age of 3 was using sign language to tell me that he wanted more.  My husband couldn't believe that it was only 3 years ago when our son couldn't say a single word!  Yet now, as my older child commented, we cannot get my younger son to stop talking.

When we joined Karate for all two years ago, our son was still struggling with saying single words.  Upon enrolling, Sensei Wayne had asked us to fill out a questionnaire regarding our child.  Class after class, we were amazed at the customized program and individual attention our son was getting from Sensei Wayne and his dedicated staff and volunteers.  I remember watching our son flourishing and saying some of his first words and sentences during class.  Sensei Wayne has an outstanding ability to remember all the special issues or concerns you have about your child and he addresses them in every single class as if your child was the only one in his program.  He addresses the child as a whole whether your concerns are about attention span, listening ability, social interactions, physical ability, speech, self confidence, self defense, being a good friend, standing up for self or disliking spinach!  Watching the class is as much fun and rewarding for the parents as it is for the kids who participate in it.  The classes are so dynamic; it never gets stagnant.

Having dealt with everything related to special needs from early intervention services to special education, from private therapies to in-home therapies, from social skills to soccer practices, Sensei Wayne clearly stands out as a very creative professional with a great sense of humor who deeply cares about every child in his program; his outstanding character shows in everything.  No matter how crazy our schedule and commitments get, we always make time to attend our Karate class.  It is a haven for the entire family.
